professionalism

As a future educator, it is essential to work and collaborate with other teachers and have a strong professional work environment. I have had many opportunities to collaborate with others on lesson plans, assessments, and tutoring. Having this skill helps to evolve my techniques and share my ideas with others. Below are some examples of collaborative assignments I have been a part of.

Stamp Act Lesson Plan

As a part of my CTEE 3100, a group of four created an 8-day lesson plan and one of my days included learning about the Stamp Act. This included a group of four and each student had to complete 2 days to complete the 8 days. Our standard was in fifth grade, determine causes and events leading to the American Revolution, including the French and Indian War, the Stamp Act, and the Intolerable Acts, the Boston Massacre, and the Boston Tea Party.

Tutoring Reflection

As a part of my CTRD 3000, we had to tutor an elementary student and work with them on their reading, what my student knows such as phase and instructional level, and one other learning, what my student needs to learn such as at least 2 missing correspondences with miscue evidence and one other learning goal, and what I did well-explaining details on two things you did well in this lesson. This reflection is from our last tutor session discussing the final progress of my student.

Boston Tea Party Lesson Plan
